Hi guys, the title says the most, will 380 brakes bolt straight onto my TE even though I do not have ABS?
Also is the only mod a bracket for the brake line? Everything else is straight forward?
Does anyone have an pictures of the brake line bracket, or can anyone share how they have done this upgrade?

yes they will fit abs or not. shouldn't need to mod a bracket for the brakeline.

Are the brake lines easy enough to swap over?

Easy enough. You might need some spray lubricant or freezing spray to get the nut off. Sometimes they dont want to budge.
And make sure you use a proper half moon spanner!

yes,but you MUST have the 380 lines

Before you begin to undo ANYTHING,spray the connection where the hard line meets the rubber hose.
And make sure you use a proper half moon spanner!
Imperative...without a proper brake line spanner ,you run the risk of stripping the hard line nut ...then you are up the shit...
So ,first job on both sides is to spray the nut .wait ,and then crack each side ...
only when you have successfully cracked both lines open would i suggest you proceed.
No point diong one side ,then doing the other and its rooted.
Good advice maggie. I learned from bitter experience myself lol

I got lucky (or just did it right) on both sides individually. I recommend as maggie said (from experience) to crack both nuts after letting them sit with RP7 or the like before proceeding. The rest of the job is self explanatory.

Any know from memory what size the nuts are? Ill make sure I have proper flare nut spanners before I even take the wheel off.
Also I read somewhere that someone suggested putting a rubber grommet over the brakeline hose to stop it from rubbing? Anyone know anything about this?

there should be a rubber grommet on the 380 line already from where it slips into the 380 bracket ,depending on where your line ends up ,just position the grommet where you see fit.

Excellent, thank you guys, its going to have to happen, I am sick of my single piston brake setup.
Why is that? Are you driving 'progressively' on the road or doing trackwork?
Good pads, rotors, and fluid will turn
An ordinary stock setup into a much better one.
Going bigger only provides extra headroom when really punishing your brakes, aesthetic appeal, and maybe a better pedal feel. Stock brakes should still haul you up in an emergency nice and quick

Just a suburbs driver, the only real time I have to stomp on them is with some of these other Adelaide Drivers, may sound like nothing but it seriously does my head in, also I have great fluid, good Bendix CT pads, and nicely machined rotors.
My brakes to me, feel really spongy even though they are probably not, no air in the lines, they are great, for what they are. I just want better really.
