I was changing some boots on the struts on my partners TS getting it ready for a RWC, when I have gone to put it back together I cannot get the hub to straighten,

The hang up seems to be at the centre joint in the driveshaft, I think I have popped this out as I didnt support the weight of the hub and disc when I removed it from the stud,

Can I fix this without pulling the drive shaft out of the car, If not is there anybody out there willing to work for beer to help me fix this, I need this fixed asap as the car is blocking other cars in the driveway and I unfortunately don't have a lot of money to spend at the moment

Any ideas, advice, help or miracles gratefully accepted :)

Inner joint pops out fron its housing real easy, but goes back in just as easily, provided you haven't popped the boot right off, or damaged it. A good wriggle at the inner joint should get it back in. Try a little lift and a gentle twist.

thanks mad max, I have tried wiggling and wiggling,

most mobile mechanic places dont wanna know about it because I have started doing the work, others are telling me its gonna cost hundreds,

Is there anyone local to me that can give me a hand, I wouldn't ask if I wasn't desperate

Not really sure what else to do, I need it sorted today or tomorrow at the latest,

Sorry for the sob story but if anyone has any ideas please let me know

Undo the large band on the inner joint and pull the boot back so you can see enough to line the bits back up.

haven't been able to get it back onto the strut, unfortunately no pms yet ;(

Basically I have it all undone, got the caliper off and the disc, but I haven't taken off the nut on the end of the driveshaft yet, I have been wiggling away and it feels close, just cant get it to go all the way back in

If you have a rope like ones on trucks use to tie down there pellets etc, put both tims back on then put end to end in one of the little holes on the stock rims then put the rope over the bonnet then tighten till they are stright, place the boots struts back in place then release the tension i hope that what i have in my head is what ur talking about _>_
