g'day guys n gals, today i brought a pair of coustic front speakers, only cheapy ones until i save up for splits and i havent listend to them or even plugged them into the car yet, what sort of quality am i going to expect from these, the 6.5" and 160watt or something like that.. cheers kyle

160W is a max figure. Your speakers are probably rated at no more then 50Wrms. If your upgrading from stock speakers i would say your way in front and should enjoy the upgrade but as rear speakers are really for rear fill anyway i doubt i would bother putting splits in the back. Spend you money on decent splits in the front and nice sub in the boot and add a nice amp for front rear and a monoblock amp for a sub, or do it cheaply and buy a decent 5 channel amp that has a bridged output for a Sub. Don't forget your deck is as important as well!

hey man, ther for the fronts until i get enough moolah to buy a set of nice splits, iv got pioneer3way 6x9's in the back cuz im still umming and arring about a sub, i had clarion 2ways in the front, they wer good until they went pop so iv had no fronts for 6months. the coustics wax output is 65watt and the headunits the low end of the range jvc (mp3, remote and flipdown detachable face) im putting them in thisafternoon when i get back form school.

wow, they sound great!!! i put them in thisarvo, it was like an aurel orgasim!!! rofl, they sound great, im going to wait till the burn in until i fully crank them but they still sound loud and clear.
