After finding out O'Briens want $400 to do the job!... and another quote for about the same...

Finally getting around to sorting out the leaking rear windows. Tks for all the other posts which I have culled, but as a measure twice and still stuff it up kinda guy. A final call for advice before I tackle the job.

Some photos on the forums - is there a full walkthrough anywhere??

1: remove interior trim (done that before to replace antenna) ..
2: undo nuts which attach windows to the frame (any tricks?)
3: carefully 'push - pop - manoeuvre' windows out (does this include the external trim or does that stay in place?)
4: clean off all the old sealant
5: clean windows and apply mastic in one bead
6: push windows back into position (external trim??)
7: tighten nuts and then reattach trim interior trim.

Any other words of caution or encouragement?

Oh, yes.. I'll need a fine day - checking ebay to see if I can get one now...

Tks

just be carefull nd ensure you dont overtighten the nuts, and make sure you tighten them evenly as you go around the window

I was only charged $230 to do my old wagon when i had her
