Just wondering if it is ok for my 2000 tj solara auto to have a idle speed of 1000rpm in park ??

Not really should more like 750

It's ok if the engine is cold. Once it is at operating temperature it should drop to 750rpm with 100rpm tolerances (so between 650 and 850) to be normal.
