There is one over in sunshine way as well
Strange fits I have seen lately are
Mirage with full EVO front and rear running gear, 2.4l motor stroked to 2.7l with all EVO top end running around 18PSI so all that power to 4 wheels about 30mm apart :)
FTO with 6A13tt, was a motor I supplied
Mirage (over near sunshine) with 6A13TT
Mirage (western suburbs again) with a 6G74 soon to be a 6G75
Pajero with 6G72TT GTO motor
I would love to know where that damn engine cover came from though, certainly is not a std cover and looks hot

Gta love scumshine and the crazy stuff they do. I play basketball in sunshine and u should see some of the cars out there. Massive rice burner area. I saw a Honda s2000 with a 2JZ Toyota engine in it tonight after basketball, the bonnet had a like clear see thru thing going on. Wish I had my phone on me to take a photo!

There was a mirage with the fto engine for sale on ebay awhile back.
There's one on ebay now with a 6A13TT in Melbourne:

The fto swap in mirages is quite common nowadays. A mate of mine also just finished a vr4 swap into a coupe up in qld. I was planning on doing the vr4 swap in mine (had everything purchased) and have now had a change of plans, which is why im here now :) selling it off to do a 6g swap instead.

The FTO was only ever a small capacity v6 though, what is the vr4 swap into the mirage?

The fto engine is a 2L V6 which is bolt in to the mirage or ce lancer, the vr4 steps up to a 2.5L v6. That side is still relatively bolt in but the turbos are the thing that causes a bit of trouble. You have clashes at the rear with the brake prop valve and lines as well as the power steering cooling lines. The front also clashes with the thermo fans so you need to use either very slimline ones or reverse them to the front of the radiator. There are other little things but that's the major issues with it.
