So having a single button control the central locking is annoying, especially me who constantly forgets whether I've pressed it or not :P.
Has anyone attempted a swap of the remote locking receiver to a TF (or even later) so that you could use the newer remotes?

I suspect it would be a monster job that would require changing locks and ignition barrel. You might be better off with an aftermarket system?

The receiver has absolutely nothing to do with locks, barrels etc etc
I did try it years ago, it does just plug in but I did have a problem with something, can not remember what.
The receiver is not in anyway programmed to the key, only the remote, it sort of acts like a BEM in a way but has nothing to do with ignition and immob if that makes sense
While i have plenty of the receivers here Leigh I dont have any of the remotes, I cant even find my spare test remote at the moment as I have not used it in years but can plug one into your car while it is here to try and figure out what happened last time

Pick a part up the road from you usually have a box 2nd hand remotes for $20 ea i think, if you can't find one I can pop up there and grab one :).
Thanks Mal, worth a try. I know a guy at our local market who sells brand new ones if it works (i bought the TE one brand new, works a treat).
