Hey guys,

I've been annoying you all with starter motor issues the last few days, just have a quick question and i promise ill pipe down about it. If i was to purchase a reco starter would it be a hard job to replace myself, it seems to be in a much awkward position than most other cars so im just checking before i get myself into some trouble.

Alternatively if someone knows how to do this and is a drive away from Carrum Downs im happy to chuck them some money to install it for me!

Thanks again!

The starter motor is located at the front of the car, directly on top of the K frame. disconnect battery, undo 1 bolt inside the engine bay on the gearbox side, then crawl under the front locate the starter motor, and you will feel 2 wires, one wire is a clip on, one wire is held on with a nut take these 2 wires off, then under the starter motor there is a second bolt, undo this bolt and slide the starter motor towards your serpentine belts.
