01/03 plated TJ Exec, mechanically A1, no damage, no issues, KA/cocoon-pearl paint job is perfect.

Aftermarket features are 18 inch advanti rims, one piece paras, SL kings in front, L in back, pacemaker headers, hi-flow cat and Lukey muffler, aftermarket head-deck.

~146,000kms on clock w/ September rego

Unfortunately having to part ways with my baby. Can anyone tell me a realistic price for private sale? Thanks!

If it helps, several car dealers have quoted $3,500 for it?...

Paid $6.5K for a 1 year younger TL wagon (04/2004) with 136,000 km on it, from a car yard, no rego. Starlight, similar (?) to the cocoon pearl. Stock standard right down to the leaking rocker cover gaskets. (Just as a comparison)

Dealer would clean it up, tyre shine the wheels, and put it in his yard at $7.5K. Don't let them rip you off, go private sale, at perhaps $7K and be prepared for $6K.

$7k is a bit optimistic (its pretty much VRX money), even at $6k its a stretch. I'd be advertising at $6500, preparing for $5500, taking no lower than $5k.

Research similar cars for sale on Carsales, eBay and Gumtree to get an idea of what they're going for

They are pretty undervalued unfortunately. I bought my late 01' exec with only 99,000km on it 18 months ago for $3700 privately. Although it had a small dent and standard wheels etc but otherwise all in good nick.
If you can get $6k or above you'd be doing really well I reckon.

For reference, I recently sold my TJ Advance for $4,500.

It had similar k’s and extras to your Executive. The market was dead; I had it for sale for a good couple of months and had barely any interest.

The guy that eventually bought it from me gave me a low ball offer and we negotiated up to $4,500. If I had waited, I might have got more for it but I’d already bought the 380 and needed rid of the Magna.

I genuinely hope you do get more than I got, but Third Generation Magnas /Veradas don’t seem to fetch much.
