Hi all,
Just a query whether any body has done an air con delete on their 6g74s? I know I might sound a little  but this engine is going into a car that didn't come with air con standard.
As the air con and AC are run on the same belt, it looks like if the AC compressor is removed and I use a shorter belt for the alternator, then it will clash with the idler pulley. I would prefer to remove the compressor rather than just let it run not hooked up to get rid of the wasted weight and to free up some extra room in the engine bay.
Has anybody successfully deleted the air con, and how did they do it? Would using a smaller idler pulley cause any additional problems? If I removed the idler as well and just ran the crank pulley to the alternator will I have issues with this?
Thanks!
