Will need a huge change if you are using a 3rd gen 3.5, the gearbox is on the wrong side of the engine.

The second gen never had a 3.5 Litre engine, the closest thing you can do to get a 3.5 Litre in there is going for a 1993 to 1996 pajero 3.5 motor as the gearbox and everything matches, basically a bolt on but it'd still need a few mods to all come together

Also, your magna v6si is manual and a great beginning to performance, if you wanna beef it up, look at my ride thread. To get close to my power it'd only cost around $2000 I just went overboard, and cause yours is manual it'd probably have more power down low

Your best option is trying to locate one of the 3.5 Diamante motors, if you can get a front cut then that is the best way to do this as then you have absolutely everything you need from the engine, acc items such as PS and Aircon pump and lines. Most of these items are in a different location. You can then also use the oem ecu to make things a little easier to both get registered as well as up and running smoothly

And then by the time you put that in it'll cost you more and will probably have not much more power then you already have which means its basically a waste of money and time for little gains

Seriously though if you wanna mod and get a bit more performance, chip your ecu, you need a unichip a type if used or a q type if new to suit your ecu, will give you better economy and more power up to 15% on both depending on which way you to tuning and if it's done right, and after that you only need small inexpensive mods... Exhaust/ air filter / cat and your motor will stay reliable and compete with some newer beefy 6 cylinders
