Likely culprits will be either the swaybar D-bushes or the swaybar end-links

Did you do complete struts, just dampers???
Usual issue is strut tops, they can feel firm when out of the car but the bearings do tend to get noisy in these
Under what conditions do you usually get the clunk

Hi Mal, thanks for your reply, I replace just the actual shock (strut) used the old spring and the old strut top, it clunks most of the time even when driving down my driveway which is dirt, so even at very slow speeds and the smallest bump can cause it to clunk, thanks again for your reply Mal, cheers Dean

Hi, thanks so much for your reply, I checked the swaybar bushes and they all look ok but will check them again, cheers

Hi all, I found out what was wrong the new shock was faulty, another question about the strut tops, does it matter which position you refit them to the strut tower sense there's 3 lugs, so a possibility of 3 different positions? cheers
