Gday guys.

I am currently running TH sport seats in my magna. I like the pattern and they are not ripped or torn in any way.

However, I have recently started noticing that the drivers side foam is getting a little crushed particualry under the bum and where my broad shoulders rest.

The passenger side is fine. I am not terribly worried about the lumbar support switch as I dont use this. Am I able to swap over the backings on the seats so my passenger side back becomes my drivers side?

Alternatively, Is it possible to source some newer seats out of a lower KM magna and swap over the fabric's? I dont have much experience with this sort of stuff; so I will appreciate any links or advice that anyone can share.

Cheers

you could always try to find another drivers seat the same , Have a motor trimmer try to re-pad the foam back or simply change the cloth onto a similar seat, Change the rails over on the bottom of the two front seats but the levers for the slide and tilt may not have enough room to do this or do what i did with my last one which was undo the four bolts that hold the seat bottom onto the rails and swap it over to passengers side

magna seats are asymetrical and foams can't be swapped left to right. if the seat frame has cut through the foam, pull the foam out and glue some carpet behind the foam where the frame cuts through with kwik grip. this makes it stronger so the frame doesn't cut through and also pads out the bolsters a bit more.

Can do the same with some thin high density foam from a shop like Clarkson's. You can also put extra layers underneath to lift the original foam up or on top but you need to trim the edges carefully if you go on top so the fabric sits right.

How do I go about swapping the foam over? And removing the fabric trimmings? I had a quick look for a DIY repair but couldnt find much. Any suggestions will be appreciated!
