hey guys, I recently put on some SL kings on my 380, stock 17s rims, and honestly its not low at all. I enquired king springs for SSL and I got a reply saying they dont manufacture them.
so now what is the best option to go lower? cut them? compress them? does another brand go lower?
I got before and after shots for the SLs but don't know how to upload here

Cannot upload to here. Need to upload to photobucket or some other photo hosting site and link to it here.

Cutting them is stupid. Compressed springs will work but will ride like shit - you really need to go firmer if you go lower unless you want to bottom out all the time.
Dobinsons also make springs for 380s but I doubt they will be any lower.
You can get K-Sport coilovers if you want to go low. Check out Foozrcool's blown 380 for photos.

its been about a week since putting themin.. and i would like the front to sit another 2-3 cm lower and have the arch just in line with the edge of the tyre.. same for the rears..
even if i were to put rims on it,, it would probably sit about same level due to bigger rim and thinner tyres.. haha.
I really dont wana chop em... but if i have to I will..

or how about you dont chop them and you buy some k sport coilovers for the front so you don't ruin your car?. if you chop those springs your guards will be ****ed.

I will be blunt here not that anyone would expect anything less anyway
If you chop your springs you are a bloody moron, simply put.....
Kings come in Low and Super Low. Check the numbers on the springs and make sure for starters you got the correct springs. If you have SL springs you can not lower any more and still have any suspension travel, the only way to resolve will be to use Coil Overs and I would suggest if that is the case you contact our forum sponsor Megatron for a set of KSports. Personally I would not go any lower than super low as that is on about the legal height limit and to add to this you will be replacing your front bar more often that you care to think about (not to mention the time with the car off the road with defects)
jattsta, how about you park in on a level surface like a garage and then measure the height between the centre of each wheel and the top of the wheel arch and post it up here. People with similar setup can also do it and you can then compare. DO NOT measure from the ground up as tyre pressure and wheel/tyre size variations can affect the measurements.

You can get Kings superlows for a 380 from Fleabay.
Here's a link to a full set front & rear: MITSUBISHI 380 '05-ON. F&R SUPER LOW COIL KING SPRINGS (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MITSUBISHI-380-05-ON-F-R-SUPER-LOW-COIL-KING-SPRINGS-/150666590712?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item23146db9f8)
Here's a link to fronts only: MITSUBISHI 380 '05-ON. FRONT SUPER LOW COIL KING SPRINGS (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MITSUBISHI-380-05-ON-FRONT-SUPER-LOW-COIL-KING-SPRINGS-/150666589927?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item23146db6e7)
Many of us have found that the best combo is superlows front and lows rear.
This gives an even stance without being too low at the front.
I have that combo and I've never had any problems with the front bottoming out or hitting curbs etc.

380s are very high to begin with, or least have large wheel arches, so "normal" lowering will not give you that almost slammed look. I know the level you want, and for that you'll need coil-overs which are more expensive, but adjustable. Check with the others that have them fitted already for further info. (Plus, lowering that much produces more dramas with scrubbing, limited weight capacity in car, etc)
I put SuperLows in the front and Lows in the rear, which although sounds crazy in thought, lowers the car equally and sits just right. Although your pics are not too clear (ie close-ups) of the wheels in arches after lowering, I'd say mine's about the same. I still have almost an inch gap front and rear, but my front tow hook does occasionally scrape on driveways, carpark ramps, speed humps (when fast), etc. So I'd just stay with that, plus they will settle in time too.

im a bit disappointed that they are 4wd spec to begin with too .. there's no way im spending money on coilovers.. I guess ill leave them for the time being till I think of something
