Hi guys!
I have an 07 380 SX auto, upgraded intake + K&N filter, upgraded (probably not the right word) to a Jaycar HID kit (doubtful its CAN compatible as my low-beams light on the dash is gone), upgraded stock headunit, addition of sub + amp, reversing camera addition, and I ran into a bit of a problem a few days ago.
I had been driving for 30-40 mins, stopped at the lights, everything was going fine, music and aircon great, until for no reason, the RPM gauge dropped to 0, the battery light and the oil light come on in the dash and the car wouldn't move..... similar to a stall (I think). So I had to turn the car off, and start it up again, and it worked great.
It went without a hitch for the next 10 minutes or so until it did it again.
It's been fine ever since.
A while back I had an issue with my trans (as it is seems a few others also has the same issue) where it first D would be lit, I'd go to drive off and it wouldn't shift out of first automatically, until I switch it into sport-shift (or whatever you call it) and change gears myself. The problem went away after a day or two.
Then every so often, no reason why (hot or cold, night or day) sometimes when I start the car, the drive light stays lit but the 1-5 gear selector lights also light up depending on what gear i'm in (I mean it looks cool but I think it means something is wrong) and it seems to work fine. I got an error checked on the OBD, took it to Mitsu dealer, and free of charge they diagnosied it but couldn't get the problem to occur as it's intermittent. They thought it was the inhibitor switch or something like that, swapped it over and it turns out it wasn't that....
Any ideas? Only just got into this forum! It's great I can finally talk 380s with people without them mentioning how much better their VE commodore is.
