hi there first time post got a 93 magna .
unfortunatly the other day she died on me well mostly. was driving along and the rev gauge went crazy on me engine light came on and the engine cut out i atempted to start the car again. and all i herad was a loud ticking noise coming from inside the cabin near the left hand side. the car finally started nd it limped home constanly trying to shut off with this ticking noise happening nd the check engine light on. started it earlier and now makes a very loud noise on start. up and the vehicle now only idles at 500 rpmand shakes quite violently any sugestions on what is wrong would be greatly apricated

its the fuel relay working

try this
disconnect the battery terminals
then refit this action should reset the engine module

i would not know if the fuel relay is working. ive disconnect the terminals before as suggested to reset the tcu due to over reving thru gear changes. but i will give it an atempt thanks magna buff hopefully will help.

i did as u suggested magna buff nd it seems to have helped . strange thing is since the car broke down i also adjusted the idle speed its now idling at 800rpm before it wouldnt idle any lower than 1300rpm and i was chewing thru petrol realy badly. i have 282,000 on the clock nd have a real bad oil leak jolting in overdrive and alot of rattling under the bonnet any suggestion on how to fix or reduce these probs would be great shes a great car would like to try and keep her running long as possible.
