FIRSTLY NEW TO THIS FORUM SO PLEASE BE PATIENT AS I LEARN MY WAY AROUND

My father has purchased a set of full leather and electric vrx seats to fit into a 2005 db 380 model
we are unable to get the seat to go back to re-install the mounting bolts

also the wiring is different my father wants to fit a electric kit to the passengers seat using the spare motor assembly from his original drivers seat

i have the 380 workshop manual and a schematics of the wiring but cant work out the code for the wires which power up the motor to slide the seats forward or back i dont want to run wires a + and _ to the motor and burn it out also am i required to purchase a loom from a vrx to power up both units or can i run a separate relay and tap into the existing loom any help much appreciated has anyone done a conversion i am unsure if the leather seats are 6 or 8 settings as shown in the manual

Also looking at an aftermarket cold air intake snorkel ive seen a K & N brand on the gallants and tried to find one on Ebay are there issues if you do away with the factory air box also as i see some kind of sensor many thanks

Vex seats are manual pass side and power drivers

Just take power from drivers side, no need to mess around with relays

Rear seat is bolt in, if it does not the seat may need some tweaking

Many thanks ,

my father is elderly and has poor eyesight is the wiring on the vrx seats the same on the 380 the connecter plugs straight in or does he have to purchase a loom , also the drivers seat has cracking leather around the airbag compartment , is the wiring for the drivers seat airbag the same or will their also be issues with a warning light staying on in the instrument cluster

Hi rjb380,
Have you any idea where your dad got the leather seats? I'd love to do the same to my '07 SX?

Thanks buddy!

I'm with Lochie360 on this one, rare to find someone parting out seats, let alone in good nick. Interested to know.

You should be able to find them with wreckers.
Also nice saw recently seats being sold on eBay from wrecking 380s.
Check this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271070895491

I've seen the second one before, I'd like actual leather seats, not some cheapo "custom made" seats with an eBay ad that looks like it was made using notepad :P

The first one looks promising though, perhaps i'll shoot them a message! Any idea on approximate cost (is it going to be $200, or is it going to be $1000)
Thanks vbs!

I saw another wrecker selling the seats (from a 380) for about $500 on eBay but can try to get it cheaper. (Haggle a bit if that's your thing).

Yeah, how much do I REALLY want leather, and then, what condition is it going to be in!
