Spring is the tastiest time to hit the road, with Queensland dishing up a smorgasbord of mouth-watering events that blend top local produce with good vibes and golden weather. These spring food festivals are where chefs, growers, winemakers and food lovers come together for flavour-packed weekends. And they’re anything but ordinary.

From avo-themed aerobatics to gourmet getaways and brews by the beach, here’s what’s on the menu this season.

Set along Rockhampton’s riverfront and spilling into nearby destinations like Great Keppel Island, this spring food festival is a relaxed long weekend of big flavours and local flair.

What to expect: chef demonstrations, cocktail parties, wine tastings, live music, food trucks and masterclasses across multiple venues.

Don’t miss: sunset dining on the Fitzroy River or a beachside feast on the Capricorn Coast.

Crafted, Gold Coast

Crafted Beer Festival, Gold Coast

Beer lovers, assemble. Held just metres from the sand at Broadbeach’s Kurrawa Park, Crafted is where small-batch brews, live beats and big flavours collide.

What to expect: 400+ craft beers, food trucks, beer yoga, tasting paddles, beer pong and spicy wing-eating comps. All with a salty sea breeze.

Blackbutt Avocado Festival, Queensland Country

When: 13 September 2025

This quirky Queensland Country festival is one big avo-themed celebration, and it’s ripe for the picking.

What to expect: live music, street parades, cooking demos, market stalls, avo-growing tips and cash-prize games.

Don’t miss: the famous Avo Drop when skydivers landing in a giant avo (yes, really).

FEASTival, Queensland Country

Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers gets a tasty twist with its own food-focused celebration FEASTival, where local producers, bold flavours and celebrity chefs shine.

What to expect: Flavour Lab cooking demos with Miguel Maestre, market stalls, wine and spirit tastings, and live entertainment. The Kids Zone offers a range of free kid’s activities from 11.30am – 4pm on both days.
