Submission-Broader Western Sydney Employment Area (Structural Plan)

With reference to the released structural plan, I would like to submit the following:

·        I am a landowner in the Bringelly Future Industrial Precinct in the South West Growth Centre.

·        Until now we have understood that the release of growth centres precincts is a priority

·        This structural plan adds and stages the release of new land (20 years demand worth) ahead of the earmarked, identified and publicised Employment land in Southwest Growth Centre.

·        This plan is very beneficial to large landowners like Medich who have been lobbying the planning department for many years at the cost of smaller landowners in The Industrial precinct in South West Growth centre.

·        This change of strategy and priority will ruin me personally as my retirement wealth depends on the timely/ priority release of land in South west as indicated in the Growth Centres plan.

·        The future Industrial precinct was identified in the growth centres for convenience in providing services. It still remains the case. There is no justification to prioritise the additional land.

·        South West growth centre lacks high calibre employment areas/ business parks. This plan ignores that need.

This structural plan must have been drafted under heavy pressure for lobbyists acting for large landholders. This plan needs to be redrafted to stage the release Employment land in the South West growth Centre as priority as indicated in the Growth Centres plan. It will be shameful to benefit the large landholders like Medich in the West at the cost of smaller landholders in The Southwest Growth Centre.
